But of course also of the Bründlweg , a circular trail about 10 km long with several attractions, which was opened in 1999. One of them is the barefoot path, which is also reflected in the menu: "barefoot soup" and "toe cheese" are served. In addition, you drink a homemade elderberry-lime blossom juice or take a sip of the crystal-clear "Alm-Champagne", as the spring water is called here.
A particularly dreamy spot nearby is the Himmelreich Chapel, built in 1660. Since time immemorial, an old, three-trunked larch tree has stood on this spot, in which a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary was placed. When this statue was later transferred to a nearby farmhouse, the old larch is said to have begun to wither and an epidemic broke out in the area. The desperate population made a vow to build a wooden shrine against the plague and to place the statue there again. When this was done, the plague died out and the old larch began to grow green again. Later, a small wooden chapel was erected in place of the old one, and there was a great increase in its veneration as a place of grace. When the wooden chapel was finally replaced by a brick chapel, the old already rotten larch tree had to be removed.

From Gasthof Pölzl we start over the old ski slope to the Töllamoaralm (managed on weekends) and then continue along the well-marked path (old designation "Winterwunderwanderweg") over the Knollalm (unmanaged) as well as the Schwabenberg (here the access from Turnau is added) to the Pogusch.
There we cross the main road at the well-known "Steirereck" inn and are now on the well-known Bründlweg.
This, especially on weekends, very popular hiking trail awaits us with numerous culinary stations, but we already leave this theme trail again at the Rührerberg.
Our tour leads us further west to the panoramic Zöberer Höhe.
There our path swings almost due south to reach, after a sometimes quite steep descent, the home of the double world champion in ski racing, Elisabeth Görgl, the sunny village of Parschlug.
Via the Töllergraben and the Hochschwab settlement, we now continue downhill to Kapfenberg, our next overnight stop.
