We start our tour at the parking lot of the front Gosau lake. We go on the hiking trail no. 620 under the lift route of the Gosaukammbahn in the direction of Gosausee until we reach the Gablonzer hut via light serpentines. From here we follow the Austria Weg 611 on meadow paths, from where we have a beautiful view over the Gosausee and the Törleck. We cross the border from Upper Austria to Salzburg and reach the Törlecksattel on 1557 m. From here we continue on the Austria Weg 611 along the south side of the Großen Donnerkogel until we pass the Stuhlalm. Then it goes steeply uphill and the path meanders between the rocks and mountain pines. After we have overcome this steep section it goes on a leisurely way a little up and down until we see our first stage goal - the Hofpürglhütte.

Kann diese Route von Hunden befolgt werden? und sind hunde in der unterkunft erlaubt?

Hallo Suzanne, der Dachstein Rundwanderweg mit Hund ist möglich, sofern der Hund so weite Wanderungen gewöhnt ist und auch eine dementsprechende Kondition hat. Diese Informationen haben wir von den Hütten zum Thema Hunde: Hofpürglhütte: nimmt Hunde, aber nur im Winterraum Südwandhütte: erlaubt – Nächtigung mit Hund nur im Doppel- oder Dreibettzimmer Guttenberghaus: nimmt Hunde, aber nur im Winterraum Steinitzenalm: nimmt keine Hunde – Ausweichen nach Bad Mitterndorf oder Pichl-Kainisch notwendig Goisererhütte: Auf Anfrage – dürfen nicht ins Bettenlager Wiesberghaus: Hunde erlaubt Für alle Hütten gilt: Hunde immer auf Anfrage; dürfen nicht ins Schlaflager; Aufzahlungen extra vor Ort. Sehr schöne Etappe, der GPS Track ist aber nicht mehr aktuell. Im Bereich der Durchgangsscharte hat es wohl einen größeren Felssturz gegeben und der hier angeführte Weg ist nicht mehr begehbar. Stattdessen wurde der Schwarzkogelsteig neu errichtet. (Ist auch in der oben eingebunden Karte ersichtlich, strichlierte Linie links vom Track ) Hier sollte allerdings erwähnt werden, dass der im obersten Teil sehr steil und seilversichert ist. Trittsicherheit und Schwindelfreiheit unbedingt erforderlich!!!

vielen Dank für dein Feedback! Wir haben die Weglänge gemeinsam mit unseren Wanderweg-Betreuern überprüft und haben je nach GPS-Gerät ca. 12 km gemessen. Eine Länge von über 20 km können wir ausschließen. Die Zeitangabe haben wir dank deiner Rückmeldung von 6h auf 6,5 h angepasst.

Die Etappe wurde mit 12,2km angegeben und wir sind laut fitbit ca. 22km gelaufen, obwohl wir die ganze Zeit auf dem in der Etappe angegebenen Weg gelaufen sind. Landschaftlich ist die Etappe sehr schön, wir empfehlen eine Pause auf der Gablonzer Hütte (nach ca 1,5h) oder auf der Stuhlalm (nach 3,5h). Wir haben mit 9kg Gepäck ca. 6,5h (ohne Pausen) benötigt. Man sollte morgens zeitig aufbrechen, um pünktlich auf der Hofpürgelhütte zu sein, da es dort nur bis 19:30 Uhr Abendessen gibt.
