Here is not only the ivy around the heart, there are more miraculous phenomena (such as the view, the forest giant, the balcony, the four-poster bed, the bench, the swing and much more) in the course of this path and all have reference to love. This circular hiking trail leads along idyllic forest paths with beautiful views and forest roads to the farm vulgo "Roath" of the Kammerhofer family. For the 8.6 km long route you need an average walking time of 2 ½ hours.
Author’s recommendation
Pack a good Styrian snack and enjoy it at one of the cozy rest stops along the way.
From the entrance heart in the Bürgergraben a forest path leads to the resting place with a view at the station "Durchblick" and further to the sleeping "Waldriesriesen". At the balcony, two comfortable deck chairs invite you to take a rest. The path now continues into the Jauringgraben, uphill to the "Himmelbett" at the edge of the forest, to the "Bankerl" and to the idyllically situated "Schaukel". Immediately afterwards we reach the station "Gustl" and the vacation farm "Roath" of the Kammerhofer family (www.roath.at). Following the access road, we now head downhill into Feistring and to Jauring, where the Waidmannsheil inn (www.gasthaus-waidmannsheil.at - closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) invites you to take a leisurely break. On the secured footpath it goes back to Aflenz Kurort and to the starting point in Bürgergraben. The Liftstüberl (open Thursday to Sunday) - only a few minutes walk from the entrance heart - spoils with good Styrian snack. as well as juices and wines.
