Hier, am höchsten Punkt des Pilgerweges auf 1.988 m, eröffnet sich ein weiter Rundblick auf die herrliche Bergwelt der Tauern. Dieser „Urweg“ über das Glattjoch wurde einst schon von den Säumern begangen. Sie gelten als die ersten Transporteure von Salz und Wein über die Alpen.
