The terrain of the Blaa-Alm is perfect for idyllic winter hikes. The Blaa Alm is open all year round and invites you to a cozy stop after the tour. 

Author’s recommendation

The area between the Loser Arena and Blaa-Alm is also ideal for snowshoe hiking.  However, please pay attention to the forest protection zones!

Turn-by-turn directions

Vom Parkplatz startet man in Richtung Blaa Wirtshaus, daran vorbei zum sogenannten Blaa-Eck und der Wanderweg-Beschilderung über die verschneiten Wiesen zum Ende folgen.

An der Kreuzung links hinunter abzweigen und auf der Blaa-Almstraße zum Ausgangspunkt retour wandern.

Equipment

Sturdy, high shoes are always an advantage.

 

Proper backpacking makes many things easier: pack heavy things first. The water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket. All things that are often needed such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map belong on top. An emergency kit including blister plaster belongs in every backpack and a clothing according to the "onion system" is always recommended!
