Since July 2008 the Stubai valley has a via ferrata of modern construction, the Fernau Express does definitely count to one of the most ambitious via ferrata of the Alps.

The experienced climber of via ferrata who has an outlook for handholds and steps and occasionally wants to flex one’s muscles, will get one’s money worth on the Fernau Express, furthermore he will find moments to enjoy the marvelous view to the glacier.

Enormously difficult via ferrata which extremely difficult passages also demands a great deal of the hiker because of barely available resting points. For beginners may not overbalance the joyful moments on this route.
