Starting from the end of the Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna via the described route to Grohmann and Teplitzer hut. After the alpine hut called Teplitzer Hütte, take trail no. 6 to the Hohe Trog and then on to the Magdeburgerscharte wind gap. From there it goes over the ridge up to the summit, which offers a phenomenal view. The way back is via the ascent path. Alternative: Over the Pfurnsee lake on trail no. 9A up to the Hohe Trog and from there as described up to the Aglsspitz. The way back is via the ascent path.

Ausgehend vom Talschluss Ridnaun über die beschriebene Route zur Grohmann und Teplitzer Hütte. Nach der Teplitzer Hütte geht man auf Weg Nr. 6 zum Hohen Trog und dann weiter zur Magdeburgerscharte. Von dort geht es noch über den Grat hoch zum Gipfel, der einen phänomenalen Ausblick bietet. Der Rückweg erfolgt über den Aufstiegsweg.

Variante: Über den Pfurnsee auf Weg Nr. 9A hinauf zum Hohen Trog und von dort aus wie beschrieben auf den Aglsspitz mit seinem unverwechselbaren kleinen, roten Kreuz. Der Rückweg erfolgt über den Aufstiegsweg. bergerfahrung, Trittsicherheit und zwecksmäßige Ausrüstung unbedingt erforderlich!

Getting there

Über die A22 bis nach Sterzing, nach der Autobahnausfahrt die 4. Ausfahrt vom Kreisverkehr in Richtung Ridnaun nehmen. Der Straße bis nach Ridnaun/Maiern (Bergbaumuseum) folgen, ca. 17 km.
