Turn-by-turn directions

Start at the end of the valley, at the “Sagstallhof” farm. Walk up the large meadow to the “Pfitscherjoch” road. Follow the road for approx. 300 meters. Then turn left into the forest clearing. After about 10 minutes you will be back on the road. Follow it to the second turn. From there, continue left through sparse forest up to the forest border. Pass the 4th turn until you reach the “Griaplalm/Pfitscherjoch” junction (signposts are visible in normal snow conditions). Continue in the direction of the Pfitscherjochhaus up a steep channel up the “Windtal” valley. At the end of the “Windtal” valley turn left uphill. Continue along the border ridge, then right to the “Zillerflecke” and up to the “Stampflkees”. From there go towards “Schrammacher” to the summit fall line. Then ascend through the very steep southeast face. Just left below the summit go up to the ridge. Continue over the south ridge to the summit cross. In case of bad conditions you can find a ski depot about 100 – 200 meters below.

Descent: Along the ascent route.
