The tour on the Piz Cristanas leads through lonely slopes to a mountain with a great view. Piz Cristanas offers views as far as Piz Buin and Piz Bernina in Switzerland. With a distance of almost 14 km and an ascent of about 1150 m, the tour requires good physical condition, but is doable. The last few metres to the summit are best done without skis, but with ski boots and poles.

Not only Piz Sesvenna is enthroned in the Sesvenna Group, but also Piz Cristanas next door. It is an interesting ski touring destination because the ascent leads through very lonely areas and the slopes are not particularly steep. Because of its altitude of 3092 m, there is a view deep into Switzerland on nice days. The starting point for this tour is the Sesvennahütte. It is open in winter from February to April. For exact opening times, see the official website.
