Turn-by-turn directions

Follow the wide track from Pfelders/Plan, in the direction of the Grünbodenhütte mountain hut. At the first bend take a right turn into the forest, before reaching the Faltschnalalm refuge on a slope above the valley. Follow the trail to the Faltschnaljoch ridge then bear left through a series of hairpin turns, which lead to the summit on the Schieferspitze in about 20 mins.

Note: The climb to the summit is steep and quite rocky.

Descent: Same as the ascent, leading down magnificent slopes and through the forest.
