“Finther Steig” Trail in Rodengo|Rodeneck

From the parking lot in Villa (885m) follow Dorfstraße village street back a little, then take the street that ascends up to Chivo and to Gifenbach brook. Bearing left, the Finther Steig no. 1, also signposted as Dörferrunde, leads along the brook through fields, ascending slightly to the town of Chivo (972m). Besides water fun, in summer there are numerous ash trees for shade. In Chivo the Dörferstraße street leads north-westward to S. Benedetto. In the fields, passing individually standing buildings (referred to as Spritzenhütte locally, also a fork to Ahnerberg mountain), field path no. 2, the so-called “Grüne Gasse”, forks left back down to Villa. Along Grüne Gasse alley, there are several things for children to pass the time.
