Badia - Val de Valacia - Puez

This alpine hike takes you from Badia through the Antersasc valley into the eastern part of the Puez-Odle Natural Park.
The unspoilt scenery and unique alpine flora make this hike a memorable experience. You feel as if you are miles away from civilisation.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the Juel Pass, take trail no. 6 westwards to a fork in the trail, then, keeping on the left, continue along a forest road heading south-west. Then you continue past a former gravel quarry to a grassy hollow at the edge of the forest.
After passing the Antersasc alpine hut, continue on trail no. 6 through idyllic alpine meadows until you reach the steep trail leading up to the Puez gap (2,517 m). From the gap head briefly downhill before reaching the Rifugio Puez hut (2,475 m) (walking time: approx. 2 hours 50 minutes).
You return on the same route.

Getting there
*By car
- Coming from Innsbruck: take the A 13 and the A 22 toll motorway and exit at Bressanone/Brixen, following the signs to Brunico/Bruneck along the Val Pusteria/Pustertal road as far as San Lorenzo/St.Lorenzen. Follow the signs to Val Badia/Gadertal
- Coming from Verona-Bolzano: take the A 22, exit at Bressanone/Brixen and continue as above
