Barrier-Free walk around the Völser Weiher Lake
The Völser Weiher lake is nestled in the heart of the unique landscape of the Schlern-Rosengarten nature reserve, and has been designated a “Vela Blu” lake, testifying to the outstanding cleanliness of its waters, since 2017. It is a wonderful destination to take a dip on hot summer days, and also doubles up as an ice skating lake in winter: Whatever the season, this spot in the deep green forests at the foot of the Schlern never fails to offer visitors an idyllic experience.

Turn-by-turn directions
The easy loop route is suitable for young and old and also for children’s prams. The route begins at the Nature Reserve Information Point and leads past the banks of the lake, bordered in part by thick reeds. During the walk around the Völser Weiher lake, you are accompanied by impressive views over the imposing face of the Schlern and the Santner summit and, if you wish, can stop off for a quick dip in the Kneipp baths.

Public transport
The starting point of the tour or the sight is easily and comfortably accessible by public transport:
By bus line 13 from Völs am Schlern to Völser Weiher lake.
Getting there
In the summer months (from the beginning of June to mid-September), you can take bus no. 13 from Völs.
Alternatively, pay-parking facilities are available at the lake.
