Turn-by-turn directions
The route follows Via del Castello through the Knappenloch tunnel into the Koestengraben gorge. Past the earth pyramids, the trail leads to Tyrol Castle. From here it heads gently downhill to St. Peter and along an almost level footpath to Thurnstein Castle (restaurant). Follow Via Laurin downhill through orchards until, after approx. 2 km, the route reaches the small Thurn Castle. Turn left into Via Gnaid and continue along this road as far as the Am Wasserpark swimming pool (lido). Then follow the pedestrian footpath along Via Principale back to the center of Tirolo.
