Hintertalweg Trail at the End of the Pfitschtal Valley near Vipiteno|Sterzing

In S. Giacomo (1,446m; bus stop, indications) “Hintertalweg” trail no. 9 leads along the cycle path and over the bridge to the shaded side and alternates between forest and meadow on the orographic left side of the bank of the Pfitscher Bach brook, in the direction of the valley. Where trail no. 9 leads upwards to the mountains on the right, the walk continues marked as trail no. 1. At the Anger Höfe farms (opposite) a fork leads right to the Moassl waterfall, which is well worth seeing. After about 1 km cross over the bridge to the bend on the sunny side of the Talstraße valley street and then follow the street ascending to the next bend at the hamlet of Holz (1510m; old church). Here, the route continues in the direction of the valley, through fields, past several groups of farms, and then back to S. Giacomo.
