Turn-by-turn directions

First take the chairlift to Vellau (906m) and then take the gondola basket lift, the so-called nostalgia lift, on to the Leiter Alm mountain pasture (1,450m) on the Merano High Mountain Trail.
This allows you to enjoy the view in a relaxed way and reach the High Mountain Trail easily and comfortably. Now walk along the Merano High Mountain Trail - Hans Frieden Trail No. 24 to the Gasthaus Hochmut.
