Turn-by-turn directions

From the Saltnerstein (lodge Gasser) we follow the way nr. 6, 7A and 7 to the direction of the Rittner Horn till we arrive at the col Gasteiger Sattel. We have to wander on way nr. 3 to arrive at the wind gap Sarner Scharter. Than we take the way nr. 2 which leads to the mountain of Villanders. The way back leads on the path nr. 2 and 2A past the lake Totensee and the chapel Totenkirchl. On the way nr. 6 we finally arrive at the starting point.

Getting there

In Villanders, first follow the signs to the Villanderer Alm (turn right at the DESPAR). After about 20 minutes you reach the parking area Gasser hut, for which you have to pay.

Sehr schöne Runde! Das Tal, wo man aufsteigt, ist wunderschön. Am Ende zieht sich der Weg zum Parkplatz in die Länge. Auch mit Hunden machbar, man quert aber Kuhweiden. Jetzt im September gab es nur noch eingezäunte Kühe.
