To Wehrburg Castle via the "Bachsteig" in Prissian/Prissiano

Starting from the car park in Prissiano village centre (near the Raiffeisen bank) turn right over the old wood-covered stone bridge and then immediately to the right of the chapel uphill (trail marked no. 8). Now turn right for a short distance along the approach road to Grissiano/Grissian and at the first fork right again and uphill towards Waldsteig (forest track) and trail no. 12. After approx. 300 m, still before the residential area, turn right downhill to the Bachsteig, or stream path, which, in an approx. half-hour loop with gentle up- and downhill sections, along a path that is narrow in places, leads through the idyllic valley carved by the Prissiano stream. At the end of the path, turn left to the residential area and follow the signs for trail no. 12A, initially on tarmac, then on a wide farm track in a southerly direction to the road to Grissiano. Continuing to follow the signs for trail 12A, briefly head uphill on the road and then left through the woods (downhill), past Grosskemathof farm to Castel Wehrburg. Take the tarmac road to the main road and then head left back to the stone bridge and your starting point.
