Walther-von-der-Vogelweide Circuit Walk in Laion/Lajen

At the sports area in Laion (1,085m) route no. 5 offers a lovely walk descending slightly northward through meadows to Albions (857m, refreshments served). Turning south, follow the road to Hof Mair am Bach farm and there, take the signposted field path (Vogelweider Rundweg signs – trail is also called “Eselsteig”). Starting off in fields, the trail continues as a longer stretch through forest paths, then you will reach the hamlet of Novale (Ried, 740m; törggele tavern open in Fall) with St. Katharina Kirche church and the Vogelweider Hof farm (810m). Now follow route no. 35, which ascends alongside the farmsteads on the sunny slopes, after crossing an asphalt road, and leads to Laion.
