We increase the requirements. Today we go to Zwieselbacher Rosskogel. A beautiful viewpoint with 3.080 m.
At the Pforzheimer Hut we take the path up to the Gleischjöchl through the meadows of the Highalmen. Past the source and the unspoiled Waleskar opens. After crossing the stream, the path slowly rises. Above block fields we reach up to the foot of Rotgrubenspitze. Over a small yoke, we descend to the snowfields of the remaining Krasperglacier. In the upper part, the residual glacier is column-free. In a great arc, you are going across the snowfields to the west. Soon we will be at the signpost indicating the route to the Schweinfurt hut. But first we cross over to the summit boom of Zwieselbacher Roßkogel. Another easy climbing on the last meters to the summit and we can enjoy the wonderful panoramic view.
After climbing the summit, we go back to the signpost and descend down into the steep downward flat Fidaskar. The trail is marked but it goes through pathless gravel down into the Zwieselbach valley.
Soon the valley floor is reached and the Schweinfurt hut is within sight.
The renovated and modernized hut offers everything the tired climber needs after such a challenging tour.
