From Scaleres|Schalders to the Schrüttenseen Lakes
The Schrüttenseen lakes lie in an idyllic location in the high fores of the Schalderer Tal Valley. These mountain lakes, one small and one large, are surrounded by alpine roses and pine forests.

From the village of Bagni di Scaleres (1,037m) follow trail no. 5 along the brook, approx. 3.8 km up to a fork in the road and then after the meadows at Steinwend, go for a short while along the footpath up to the fork in the forest path (1,530m, indications, no. 4A leads right to Steinwendhof farm, no. 4 leads straight on to Schalderer Scharte ridge). Ascending left from the brook, follow route no. 5, which is a wide path at the beginning, then slopes up to another forest road (1,705m). Path no. 7A forks left there and ascends through the high forest to the Große Schrüttensee lake (1,957m, the small lake is situated a little higher up in the forest). Descent is by the same route. To descend into the valley, you can also follow route no. 7.
