Turn-by-turn directions
From Fane parking lot (1,735m) the Almstraße pasture road leads to Fane Alm (1,739m; mountain huts, refreshments served). From there, agricultural road no. 17 leads left on the slopes leading into the valley, through the “Schramme” gorge. At the upper end of the gorge, continue following the pasture road, which bends left, marked as no. 18, westward to the wide valley basin Labesebenalm alpine pasture (2,138m). The beginning of the wide footpath, takes a large loop over the sloping fields, ascending to the end of the valley, winds northwards and leads via a grassy ridge to the Wilden See lake (2,538m). Path no. 18 leads right, eastwards from the lake towards the north and then ascends over screes to Rauhtaljoch ridge (2,807m). The descent is first over moraine landscape, a former glacier, then over some rocky terrain to the Pfanne Alm pasture. Eastward near the brook, then turning southward, you will reach Brixner Hütte mountain hut (2,282m). The Hüttenweg mountain hut trail leads in the direction of the valley. Through the Schramme gorge you will reach Fane Alm and the parking lot.
