Hiking from one mountain hut to another, this route passes through some of the most scenic views in the Eastern Sarntal Alps. In good weather conditions, it is also suited to families with children. The splendid views from the top of the Königsanger are an unforgettable experience.

Turn-by-turn directions

Starting at the "Garner Wetterkreuz" parking lot (1,430m), forest trail no. 10 leads north to an intersection (1,640m) before continuing through a mountain pasture. Following the signs, the trail crosses through an alpine forest and some meadows along farm roads before reaching the alpine pasture. Trail no. 14A turns left and uphill to the Glanger Alm alpine pasture (1,962m) and Brugger Schupfe hut (2,000m; refreshments served). Continue on trail no. 14B before turning right onto track no. 14 leading east, connecting with the High Mountain trail no. 8 as far as the Radlseehütte mountain hut (2,284m; refreshments served). Further up and west along the ridge, trail no. 7 leads up to the of the Königsanger summit (2,436m; 360° panoramic view). The return down is over the southern ridge on trail no. 10A, before switching to track no.10 the same way as the ascent all the way back to the starting point.

Eine grandioser Abschluss der Saison - eine bessere Panoramaschau kann es fast nicht geben. PS. Complimenti alle bambini, 1000 Höhenmeter haben unsere nur unter großem Protest geschafft!
