From Würzjoch around the Sass de Putia

Starting at the Würzjoch parking lot (2,002m; refreshments served) take the wide farm trail no. 8A south. Crossing the open meadows, go up a gentle incline northwest, before arriving just beneath the Sass de Putia. At a crossing near some mountain huts, continue on trail no. 8A (refreshments available) as it bears right and turns southwest along a flat path across a meadow. Passing a fountain, the trail ascends up a difficult, rocky section near a boulder, before arriving at a steep ridge, known as the Peitlerscharte ridge (2,357m). Follow track no. 4B along the steep, south-facing grassy slope and then descend to farm trail no. 35. After passing a ravine, the wide trail leads northeast through stunning meadows as far as a wooded slope and to the Ütia Vaciara hut (2,110m; refreshments served). Continue uphill through the meadow as far as Gömajoch ridge (2,111m; scenic lookout point). Crossing over to the north face of the mountain, bear left and again follow trail no. 8A.  Descend in a westerly direction through the pine forest on the farm track through the meadows to Ütia de Göma hut (2,030m; refreshments served). The trail cuts through a pine forest past large boulders and then across the pasture to the Ütia Munt de Furnela hut (2,067m; refreshments served). Return down the same route all the way back to the parking lot.
