• Hiking time: 4h 30min • Trail numbers: 8A, 4, 35, 8B, 8A • The hike starts at the car park Würzjoch pass (2006 m). Follow trail no. 8A for about 30 min. until the trail becomes narrower: The rock faces of the Peitlerkofel rise up to the left. Trail no. 8A joins trail no. 4, which leads somewhat steeper uphill through the Peitlerscharte. Once you reach the highest point of the Peitlerscharte (2357 m), continue on trail no. 35 to the Gömajoch (2111 m) on the west side of the Peitlerkofel. From there, continue relatively level on trail no. 8B and then on trail no. 8A back to the Würzjoch car park.
Public transport
By bus from Klausen/Chiusa or Brixen/Bressanone through Villnöss Valley to St. Peter – change to the bus to Würzjoch pass.By road
Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to St. Peter. Continue from there on the road to Würzjoch pass.
