The uphill part of this hike leads across flower-strewn mountain meadows and alpine pastures to the high-altitude Eisbruggsee lake and the beautifully situated Edelrauthütte hut (2,545 m). Mt. Napfspitze towers steeply above the hut, but the path that leads up there is negotiated without any great difficulty. The way back can be either the same as the ascent or via the Gampiel Alm hut.
