The Solda Glacier Trail runs along the foot of the Gran Zebrù/Königsspitze, Zebrù and Ortler. It is not a fixed path, but a route with orange and yellow wooden posts, which has to be renewed every year because the glacier is constantly moving. The unique moraine field occasionally releases war relics of the 1st World War.
Start from the cable car Solda following the path nr. 2 to the Rif. Coston/Hintergrathütte. Below that hut are the signposting points to the glacier way and to the Rif. Città di Milano/Schaubachhütte. Arrived at the Rif. Città di Milano (2.581 m), the way back can be done on foot or by cable car.
