Trekking on one of the most fascinating mountains of the Dolomiti di Sesto with breathtaking views over the Alta Val Pusteria
From the Val Pusteria turn off at Sesto towards the Val Campo di Dentro. Early starters (before 9am) can drive all the way to the "Antoniusstein" car park. Continue on foot towards the Rifugio Tre Scarperi. Immediately before the refuge take the route to the Rocca dei Baranci. This steep footpath takes you through larches to a scree-covered area becoming steeper as you go up. The ascent is strenuous. At the end of this section you can glimpse the cross on the summit glimmering in the sunshine. The last 300 metres are partly on scree and partly on rocky terrain and an easy climb will take you to the summit. Return via the same route.
