Author’s recommendation
The Bockhütte is only serviced in the middle of summer. Then, the herdsmen, in this case a family, look after the mountain sheep of Partenkirchen.

Turn-by-turn directions
At the station turn right and cross the taxi stand to Lagerhausstraße. This street leads into Gehfeldstraße. After ca. 200 m, the road forks. Ensure that you keep right. At the end of Kochelbergstraße cross the railway tracks and turn left. Stay alongside the tracks and turn right at the next possibility. After 5 minutes cross a bridge, turn right again and follow the Partnach River upstream towards the Partnachklamm gorge. After crossing the bridge at the Lenz’nhütte, turn right. Just ahead of you lies a steep uphill section to the Alpine hut Partnachalm. If you are hungry or thirsty, you can take your first break here at an altitude of 983 m. Go past the Partnachalm and further in the direction of the Bockhütte. A short stop on the bridge in front of the hut is a must. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Wetterstein Mountain Range - you are now close to your goal. At the Bockhütte, you can enjoy some refreshments and relax on the terrace.
For your return trip, take the same route, past the Partnachalm and via the “Hohen Weg” to the Olympia Skistadion and then back to the station.
