South Tyrolean Milk Trail in Valles/Vals

From the parking lot at the end of the Valsertal Valley (1,396m; signposted) follow the asphalt road for a short distance to Kurzkofelhütte hut (1,422m) and from there with route no. 17 cross over the bridge to the orographic right side of the brook. The milk trail (information boards) begins here as a dirt road. Ascend for about 700 m along the brook and then cross again to the orographic left side of the brook. Parallel to the Almstraße pasture trail, footpath no. 17 leads to a rocky slope. With a steep incline, the old path shortens the return route. Once reaching the heights, you follow the road to Fane parking lot (1,735m). Trail no. 17 continues along Almstraße to Fane Alm alpine pasture (1,739m; several mountain huts). Return along the same route.
