The Algunder Waalweg irrigation channel pathway from Partschins/Parcines to Meran/o
Partschins
The Algund irrigation channel pathway, or Waalweg, is a 10 km long path running alongside the old irrigation channel. Flat and even almost all the way, the trail boasts incredible views over the Meran/o area and leads you through Plars, Algund/Lagundo village and Gratsch/Quarazze until you get to the Saint Magdalena Chapel and then along the Tappeiner path to Meran/o city.

Starting point is in the village center of Partschins/Parcines. You follow the Franz von Goldeggstraße/Via Franz von Goldegg. Then continue on route n° 10A, passing the "Töllgraben" towards the Algunder Waalweg - irrigation channel pathway. You follow the Waalweg until you arrive Gratsch/Quarazze (a district of Meran/o). There is where the Waalweg ends! From there you follow the Tappeinerweg trail to the center of Meran/o.

From Venosta Valley:From Merano the Venosta Valley Train or Bus 251 to Rablà – and from there Bus 265 to Parcines.
