From Maiern behind the Hotel Schneeberg (1400 m), always follow the signs "Untere Gewingesalm", first southwards across the open valley floor to the forest, then on the wide forest path through the forest slopes in hairpin bends up to the forest boundary where the Untere Gewingesalm (1782 m) is located.
