We highly recommend this hike to others! The views are amazing and the huts great! Day one was a bit short for us and can be extended going up via an other cablecar more in the direction of germany, or by sleeping in the Mindelheimhuette. Day two (Fiderefasshuette - Widdersteinhuette) is doable in one day and probably the day with the best views in the different valleys. The Mindelheimhuette is a good place for lunch and/or a stayover. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the Widdersteinhuette. It is a small hut with amazing views, with a good cosy vibe and a great host and lots of games. On day 3, the hike down to Baad is great and relatively easy. If it rains we expect a bit more difficulty on the partly sandy road. Going up to the Schwarzwasserhuette was steep, and although in the forest, tiring in the summer sun. The last hut is also a great place with a nice terras where you overlook the mountains and hear the nearby cows clingle. The first part of the last day is a great, easy hike through the hills. The part that goes up scared us a bit. It is very steep and you have to use the cables to climb up. We would not do that again but others went up easier. We were happy that we could get water in the toilet of the cable car station. The hike over the plateau was harder than we expected because you have to look where you go. The last day took us 9 hours almost without stopping (the other days we were mostly an 1/2 - 1 hour faster than indicated). We suggest considering going down from the top of the cable car after viewing the special structure of the plateau.
