On the well-signposted alpine flower trail from car park 1, the path leads past numerous plants and flowers that have become rare and grow here in the midst of intact nature.
In the northern limestone alps and the transition area to the Alpine foothills, an extremely large variety of flower species thrives. This is due to the fact that, in addition to calcareous rocks, siliceous rocks also form the soil in this area. There is also a large variety of different orchids. The Almblumenweg (alpine flower path) leads across the Postalm and you can observe the diversity of nature on a leisurely hike.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the starting point (P1 - Lienbachhof car park), the trail leads west to the Rosserhütte, which you reach after about 15 minutes. Now turn right past the hut onto the forest road and follow the road to the right. The alpine flower signs are scattered throughout the trail. The forest road leads past the "Strobler Ski Lift" in the direction of car park 3. Shortly before this, after a total of approx. 2.5 kilometres, you reach the highest point of the hike. There you turn right and follow the hiking trail in the direction of the Stroblerhütte. From here, follow the forest path until you reach the Schnitzhofhütte alpine cheese dairy. Now follow the signs to car park 1. The circular trail is easy to walk and beautifully integrated into the landscape.

Public transport
Take the post bus to "Abtenau Ortsmitte". From there you can take the post bus to the beautiful alpine pasture area "Postalm" every Tuesday and Thursday (in all weathers) during the summer months. Ride free of charge, toll € 1.50.

Coming from Abtenau/Voglau via the Postalm panorama road (toll road) to car park 1.
