Turn-by-turn directions
At the Lienbachhof (H), leave the fenced parking area (P1) in the direction of Abtenau and turn right after approx. 600m to pass the Rosser hut to reach the upper parking area (P3). From there, walk across the alpine pasture to the Strobler hut and continue down to the Bloden hut and Lienbachhof.
Note
Public transport
Take the post bus to "Abtenau Ortsmitte". From there, a bus departs every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer months (in all weather conditions) at 10:07 a.m. to the beautiful "Postalm" alpine pasture area. Return journey at 4:13 pm and arrival in Abtenau at 4:30 pm. Total price with guest card: 5,50€.
Getting there
Directions from the village centre: The Postalm can be reached via the toll road from Abtenau. Twice a week the Postalm is also served by the hiking bus. Timetables are available at the tourist office.
