Turn-by-turn directions

Path No. 40 as far as Iglmoos. Then take the forestry road. After about 1.5 hrs. the path leads off to the right and via the Schartenalm to the Goiserer Hütte (1596 m ). From the Goiserer Hütte, hike below a ridgeline to an area of pine trees, then across steep alpine pastures to the top of the Hoch Kalmberg (1833 m). Marvelous panoramic views! Return along the same route. It is possible to ride the post bus up as far as the pass summit on the Pass-Gschütt road.

You can reach Russbach by bus no. 470 from Gosau and Golling. Information about the travel times can be found at www.oebb.at

Getting there

Coming from the A10 motorway, take the exit Golling direction Abtenau and Russbach. From Bad Ischl you drive via Bad Goisern and Gosau to Russbach.

Parking

You will find enough parking area in the center of Russbach or at the parking area „Rinnbach“.
