Destination
Turn-by-turn directions
From Giardino Al Sarca take the footpath that runs along the entire river Duina walking up towards the Carabinieri station until you reach Campo Lomaso. When you arrive near the Franciscan convent, continue straight through the countryside. You will spot on the right, through the trees, Castel Campo, now a private residence. As you approach the end of the plain, where the crop fields start spreading uphill and the road enters the woods, turn left onto a paved road that leads swiftly to Dasindo. Here, you will find a sanctuary dedicated to Madonna Assunta, Our Lady of the Assumption, enriched with beautiful frescoes by Simone Baschenis. Continue walking up, bearing right, to reach Stumiaga and then Fiavè, with its Pile-dwelling Museum located in the town centre. After visiting the museum, continue towards the archaeological site of Fiavè, one of the 111 alpine pile-dwelling UNESCO World Heritage sites. Here, follow the signposted path leading to the birdwatching towers. At the end of the circular path around the archaeological site, continue towards Fravio, where you will enjoy stunning views across the Brenta range. Afterwards, descend to Dasindo and continue for Vigo Lomaso. Here, you can visit the church dedicated to San Lorenzo that stands on a grassy terrace overlooking the town. Dating back to 1206, it’s one of the oldest churches in Trentino, second only to the cathedral in Trento. Leave the church and turn left on a secondary road that leads, ascending and descending, to Poia first and then Ponte Arche.
