Turn-by-turn directions
Comano 4,86 km – from Comano follow the SAT signs to “Quadre” on path n. 411 until you reach the equipped area “Alpini del Lomaso”. Leave this area on your left and continue on the paved panoramic road for about 50 metres; when you reach the hairpin bend take the path n. 411 going towards the parking lot of le Quadre.
Parking lot Quadre 8,86 km – From here climb up for about 100 metres and at the crossing take the road on the left that leads to cima Quadre (1632 a.s.l.). From the top you will enjoy a breathtaking view on the marvellous lakes of “valley of the lakes” and the stunning peaks of Brenta Dolomites, Adamello and Mount Bondone.
Cima Quadre 10,03 km – From the top you have to descend to the mountain hut “Don Zio” and when you arrive at the junction, follow the steep dirt-road for about 20 metres and take the path n. 408 (dir Malga Valbona). This trail crosses loc. Duson (1370 m a.s.l.) and the fields “Granzoline” that goes down to the Valbona alpine hut, through a dense pine forests. Just before the hut, come out from the woods and cross a vast meadow towards another stretch of wood where you have to take the path to “Pra dei Muci” (1450 m a.s.l.) and then reach the peak Brento (1545 m a.s.l.)
Mount Brento 16,76 km – from the peak take the path that follows the ridgeline of Brento, then go down to Baita Cargoni (1184 m a.s.l.). Pay attention to this steep descent!
Baita Cargoni 18,79 km – From here descend on the forest road and then go up again to locality “Marcarie” (1104 m a.s.l.)
Loc. Marcarie 19,41 km – continue towards Loc Gorghi (1125 m a.s.l.) 21,47 km crossing “Prai da Gom” and “Pra della Zima”, then follow the path n.421 (Rifugi M.Clino-S.Pietro). You will arrive at S.Pietro mountain hut passing by Croce di Bondiga and locality Treni.
Rifugio S.Pietro 27,13 km – from the mountain hut head towards Mount Misone and then Sella di Calino (966 m a.s.l.), then continue to Sella di Castiol (1350 m a.s.l.). Pay attention because this is a strenuous and technical trail!
Sella di Castiol 29,97 km – From here climb up through a wood of beeches till you reach Tenno alpine hut (1573 m a.s.l.)
Malga Tenno 29,97 km – from the alpine hut take the path n.433 that goes through a beech forest and heads towards Sella del Misone or Calcherola (1545 m a.s.l.); follow the signs to Ballino Pass (764 m a.s.l.) until you reach the forest road. Pay attention to this steep but exciting descent!
