Graziosa Malga che ricorda la baita di Heidi. Si trova nell'anello delle malghe delle Maddalene.
The Kessel mountain hut is located at 1917 meters above sea level and is the highest mountain hut along the trekking ring of the Maddalene huts.It is a graceful wooden building at the foot of the majestic Vedetta Alta peak. It can be reached on foot following the forest road that also passes from the Cloz and Revò huts, from the parking lot it is about 45 minutes of walking.Alternatively, you can arrive on foot starting from the village of Proves and following the educational path "Natural border - Natura di Confine". In this case it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes and the difference in height is greater.

The shortest way to reach the hut is to leave the car at the Hofmahd car park near the tunnels of the state road that connects Val di Non and Val d’Ultimo. Take the forest road that leads first to Malga di Cloz and then to Malga di Revò. Carry on and you will arrive at the Kessel hut, walking around 45 minutes in total. Alternatively, the hut can also be reached from the village of Proves with a 1:45 hour walk.
