The first poles came to light in 1929, as the water level decreased after the opening of the hydroelectric power plant opened. Since then more than 10.000 poles came to light and several artifacts which are now kept in the museum.
The museum is a true showcase of showcases which tells the story of everyday in a pile-dwelling settlement during the Bronze Age. In the reconstructed village objects and tools of the life of our forefathers are put back into context.
In the Summer prehistory comes back to life thanks to activities of Palafittando. The chance of winning an overnight stay in one of the pile-dwellings is not to be missed!
