In 1916 the area around Cima Rocca was a battleground between the Italians coming up from Biacesa and the Austrians, who held the mountain fortifications. The little church of San Giovanni, Bivacco Arcioni and the trenches that are to be found along the way all date back to that time.
Author’s recommendation
Beautiful aerial view over Lake Garda from Cima Rocca! Rest stop at Bivacco Arcioni.
Not recommended for people who are afraid of heights. Partly equipped with wire rope.
