Through the upper Valle di Ledro, uphill to Malga Stigolo, downhill towards Lake Idro, along the river Chiese and back to Valle di Ledro by Passo Giovo. Up and down and up again! The effort, though, is totally repaid by the wonderful views which open up along the way towards Valle di Ledro and Valle del Chiese.

Author’s recommendation

The village of Storo is well known for its red gold. There are no mines to be found though, only corn fields, which are promptly turned into flour and polenta.

Also suited to MTBs.
