After the ascent through the woods (pini means pines in Italian) the landscape opens up and the eye is free to roam from the surrounding mountains to Lake Ledro.
At the beginning of the route the little church of San Giorgio, surrounded by trees, dominates the villages of Tiarno di Sopra and Tiarno di Sotto, with its beautiful bell tower, the second tallest in Trentino.
Monte dei Pini is a perfect viewpoint over the upper side of Valle di Ledro and Lake Ledro.
On the way down, please be particularly mindful of hikers.
