Difficulty E: Excurionist route

It is the most frequented and known Mount of the Plateau, but also a place remebered by many for the events occurred during the First World War (Battle of Ortigara, 1917). It still preserves proofs and monuments like the half column located on the peak.

Without any doubt, this path is the most complete and meaningful itinerary to visit the battleheld of Ortigara stage of some  of the bloodiest battles fight during the First World War on the Italian front line.

It is then necessary to verify weather forecasts and depart early in the morning.

Answered by Omar Ropelato · June 16, 2020 · APT Valsugana e Lagorai
