From the Vezzena highlands it is possible to get to the Pizzo di Levico Fort, fortification used during the First World War as a bombing post and as a military traffic checkpoint overlooking the Valsugana Valley. Here, the Hapsburg military genius built one of the most extraordinary feats of wartime engineering: the top of this mountain was dug out and the almost inaccessible fort was built.
