Difficulty E: Excursionistic Route
Departing from Passo Manghen, take the path SAT 322/A that starts behind the refuge, pass by a cave used as chapel to remember the people who died during the great war and go on up to the crossroads with path 361. From here path 322/A and then 322 are followed to retrace an ancient military road, and the northern side of Montalon is passed through. Walk on to Forcella Montalon and take path 362, that links Val delle Stue with Val Campelle. It is worth reaching the Forcella to observe Val Montalon and the homonym lake; afterwards path 322 on the right is still followed, that passes over Pian della Maddalena and arriving to Stellune Lake. The downhill to the lake represents the first step to the way back which follows the outward journey.
