This stage between Unken and Reit im Winkl crosses the state border again, switching sides from Bavaria to the SalzburgerLand! The ascent behind the Friedlwirt - follows an extensive forest tour to the Winklmoosalm, from which we - away from roads along forest paths - cycle down to Reit im Winkl.

To start, we begin this tour along the Unkenbaches (stream), slightly uphill, to the next intersection, where we branch off to the right and follow the wider local road. After a short uphill stretch, we arrive in the village of Boden. Always along the Unkenbach, slightly uphill, we come to the village of Rausch. The road continues across the Heutalstraße road, mostly in the forest, and on to Hintergföll where you bear left. From here on, it is pretty flat on a paved road to the Hammerl Bergbauernhof farmhouse.

Now, the route continues uphill again, where you can enjoy magnificent views down into the Unkental (valley) and of the surrounding mountains. On a bendy road, you fight your way uphill, until the Moar-Lack-Alm is reached. From the Moar-Lack-Alm, we now ride at the same altitude (between 1100 and 1150 m) following on, mostly through wooded area, to the West on an unpaved forest road. Small gradients and slopes follow. But essentially the next 6-7 km run relatively flat to the Winklmoosalm. Once there, several eateries are available to refresh oneself. Our tour takes you below, past the valley station of the ski lift, to the Rosshütte. We remain on the forest road, leave the signposted trail and bike uphill just slightly to the right, before going down to the toll road. We cross it and continue straight ahead along the forest road steadily downhill to Seegatterl. After the parking lot, the bike path lies between the main road and the Schwarzlofer. After 1 km we change onto the other side of the river and reach the town of Entfelden after about 3 more kilometres. Here we cross the river and reach the road after approx. 200 m. Directly at the chapel, we turn left, ride a short stretch of road and then we turn right again into the settlement. Continue straight on and reach the centre of Reit im Winkl.
