The toboggan run on the Gornergrat is not only the Alps’ highest but also one of the most beautiful. Zermatt’s mountain panorama with the Matterhorn offers the ultimate setting for sledging. The thrilling run lasts about 10 minutes.
easy
Distance 1.5 km
A real treat for guests of all ages: ten minutes of cries of joy, pure pleasure, endless snow and high thrills. The descent from Rotenboden to Riffelberg covers 234 vertical metres, barely leaving time to admire the glorious mountain views.
- Hire of various types of sledges possible on site
- Cog train services every 10 minutes
- Sledge run prepared daily
- Appropriate for families with children
Author’s recommendation
For experienced riders, Ghosky toboggans are available for hire at Rotenboden station. These are faster than normal sledges, but also harder to steer.
